Welcome to MuslimStack. By downloading, installing, or using our mobile application or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MuslimStack ("the App", "our Service"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. Users under the age of 13 must have parental or guardian consent.

2. Description of Service

MuslimStack is an Islamic companion application providing:

Quran text, translations, audio recitation, and tafsir
Prayer times, Qibla direction, and Azan notifications
Hadith collections and Duas
AI-powered Islamic Q&A (powered by large language models)
Hifz tracker, Zakat calculator, Islamic calendar, and other tools
A developer REST API for building Islamic applications

3. User Accounts

You may use core features of MuslimStack without creating an account. To access cloud sync and personalized features, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with Islamic ethics and values. You must not:

Use the Service to spread misinformation, disinformation, or content that contradicts established Islamic scholarship without clear disclosure
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
Use automated tools, scrapers, or bots to access the API beyond your authorized quota
Share, resell, or redistribute API access credentials
Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
Violate the privacy or rights of other users
Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality

5. AI-Powered Features

MuslimStack's AI assistant is designed to provide responses grounded in the Quran and Sunnah. However, AI-generated content has limitations and may not always be perfectly accurate. You acknowledge that:

AI responses are informational and should not replace consultation with qualified Islamic scholars for important religious decisions (fatwas)
We strive to ground AI responses in authentic sources, but we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy at all times
You use AI-generated content at your own discretion and responsibility

6. Intellectual Property

The MuslimStack app, logo, branding, code, and original content are the intellectual property of NextGenBeing and are protected by copyright and other applicable laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.

Quran text, hadiths, and other religious content are used under applicable open licenses or are in the public domain. Translations and scholarly works are attributed to their respective authors.

7. Developer API

Access to the MuslimStack REST API is subject to additional terms including rate limits and fair use policies. Developers must not use the API to build products that misrepresent Islamic teachings or violate these Terms. We reserve the right to revoke API access at any time for violations.

8. Privacy

Your use of MuslimStack is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
Prayer time calculations will be perfectly accurate for all locations and calculation methods
AI responses are free from errors or will meet your specific religious requirements

Islamic religious content is provided for informational and educational purposes. For formal religious rulings (fatwas), please consult a qualified Islamic scholar.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NextGenBeing and its team members shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability in any matter related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the relevant claim (which, for free users, is zero).

11. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, and various Quran and prayer time data providers. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions of third-party services.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before resorting to formal legal proceedings.
